Turning the Page started as a simple idea from a student in Brooklyn, New York: what if we could share the books we love with kids who don’t have shelves full of stories? What began as a local book drive quickly grew into a community—especially during the pandemic, when many of us connected through online writing programs and realized we shared the same dream.
Now, our team includes high schoolers and college students from all across the country. We’re writers, readers, and volunteers who believe that stories can spark change—and that young people can lead the way. Whether we’re running book drives, starting new chapters, or partnering with schools, we’re excited to keep turning the page toward something better.
